Watchdog Zero is a stand-alone system
which peforms all fuel management tasks for the smaller fleet operator,
in one simple unit sited at the fuel dispenser. The unit controls
one pump with a maximum fleet size of seventy vehicles, vehicle keys
being of an electronic high-security type. Insertion of an authorised
vehicle key arms the fuel dispenser and the unit displays the amount
of fuel delivered as the transaction progresses, mimicking the pump
register display. |
A customer selectable time-out delay for start and
completion of fuelling transactions, permits interuption and resumption
of fuelling within the limits of the selected delay time, permitting fuelling
of multi-tank vehicles in a single transaction.
A record is maintained by the unit, for fuel issued to each key, total fuel
dispensed by the pump and remaining tank stocks. Period-end data retrieval
is provided by either, displaying the totals by means of "step Through"
display, or the unit's memory contantsn can be transferred onto a data transfer
key for later printing or storing on an office PC. Vehicle keys can be locked
out to cater for lost or stolen keys and then re-entered if recovered at
a later date. The unit's memory does not depend on maintenance of the electric
supply and does not rely on batteries to retain its memory, making memory
corruption virtually impossible.
This system has been designed to facilitate self-installation using the
services of a competant electrician, although installation by Centaur's
own engineers is available at a competitive price. Viewing of key, pump
and tank stock data is available during mid-period without affecting data.
At the end of the period, following viewing the key and pump totals can
be reset to zero for the start of the next period.
